S2 · EP5Apps for Everyone
A transformative concert leads somewhere unexpected: the tiny words English loves to clip. ‘Apps’ might mean the ones on your phone, or the ones you order before dinner.
Apps
Definition: A clipped word, short for 'applications' (the programs on your phone), but also for 'appetizers' (the small dishes before a meal).
Example: We got to the restaurant early, so we decided to order some apps while we waited.
